With a brother who died of schizophrenia and a mother whose forever residence is a mental health facility, Marta fears the mental illness in her family could be innate in her offspring. Obsessed and tormented by this fear, she keeps her disturbing family secret from her new husband. As the years go by, her obsessive, neurotic behavior causes problems in her marriage.
