Coming out of the Art Tatum and Bud Powell school of be-bop piano playing, Lou Levy worked with many top jazz artists and gained a strong reputation as an accompanist to singers, including Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, June Christy, Anita O'Day and Frank Sinatra - and became a heavily in-demand player on the West Coast jazz scene.
